The Gender Advantage: Building Inclusive and Thriving Ventures

To celebrate International Women's Day this year, the EnSpire team were delighted to host a double panel discussion and networking event with the BioEscalator and Advanced Oxford. The event delved into key topics related to gender diversity in startups and provided a great forum for important discussions, with expert panellists sharing valuable insights on the challenges and opportunities in fostering inclusivity. Excellent progress can be seen in this area through the BioEscalator's recent annual review, reporting that 48% of the companies located within their labs have a female CEO or Founder, however, panellists emphasised that more work is needed within the broader startup ecosystem to ensure greater representation and support for women in leadership roles.
