Building a Cleantech Venture

There’s more than one way to build a climate company. Hear how founders and venture studios do it.

Building a Cleantech Venture Poster

What it is

The founder-led startup is the familiar route to building a cleantech company, but climate venture studios offer another: they partner with scientists and engineers to create and scale companies around pressing climate problems. This evening sets the two side by side, with practical lessons on developing technology, raising funding, building a company and getting a climate solution to market.

Shiladitya Ghosh is co-founder and COO of Mission Zero Technologies, a UK direct air capture company. He has helped raise more than £30 million and take its technology to international markets.

Dr Mica Taborga Claure is Principal and Head of Technology at Marble, a climate venture studio, where she leads technology de-risking and scale-up. She brings 14 years’ experience in energy and cleantech.
