Programme Overview
Building a Business is a co-curricular event series open to all current University of Oxford students and staff who are either in the early stages of exploring their own potential ventures or hoping to improve their own businesses. This foundational programme will give you the opportunity to understand and learn more about what it takes to run your own business.
Over the course of six weeks, you will learn how to navigate Oxford's ecosystem, how to embrace an entrepreneurial mindset and much more. This experience is designed to give you the tools and confidence to pursue your own potential ventures. You can choose to sign up to the whole series or to the individual lectures that interest you. The programme outline is as follows -
- Monday 14 October, 5.30-8pm - Entrepreneurial beginnings: your path via Oxford's ecosystem
- Monday 21 October, 5.30-8pm - Entrepreneurial beginnings: embracing entrepreneurial mindset
- Monday 28 October, 5.30-8pm - Ideation and beyond: cultivating and refining your ideas
- Monday 4 November, 5.30-8pm - Ideation and beyond: crafting compelling value propositions
- Monday 11 November, 5.30-8pm - From co-founders to capital: building your support network
- Monday 18 November, 5.30-8pm - From co-founders to capital: funding your journey
Who Can Apply?
Building a Business is now open for registrations to all students and staff at the University of Oxford and runs throughout Michaelmas term. Registration can be done via our skills and career development platform, Inkpath, allowing you the opportunity to track your progress throughout the programme and set future goals.
