Eligibility
The Cherwell Business ACCELERATOR programme is a bespoke package of enhanced and accelerated support for established and trading small businesses in the district. This training can be attended by a manager or team leader within your business. Only 1 employee from each business can attend.
Leadership development
You manage people or influence colleagues so that you can get ‘stuff’ done and done well. Investing a little in great leadership skills could bring the next biggest boost for your business. The hidden costs of not investing in developing leadership skills can be huge… costs on your time and energy, of mistakes made and deadlines missed, of high staff turnover, and on your reputation. The flip side is that significant savings and positive results can come from advancing your leadership skills. This short, small group program quickly helps you address current challenges and prepare for growth. It simplifies leadership by sharing effective techniques for immediate use in your business on live challenges/situations.
We aim to help you:
- Get your time back by managing people effectively: Your ability to lead and motivate your people is crucial. Broadening your interpersonal skills such as communication, motivation and delegation can help people do the right things, well, and maximise team productivity.
- Navigate Difficult Conversations: It’s inevitable that challenging situations and conversations will arise. This training can help make these conversations easier for everyone involved. This includes delivering constructive feedback, managing conflict, and addressing performance issues. Meaning you can take fewer worries home.
- Increase flexibility and resilience: You’ll probably be wearing multiple hats and have to adapt quickly to changing circumstances. We put focus on supporting resilience for you and your people so that you can navigate change more comfortably and flexibly.
- Delegate, empower, and engage your people: Your role in empowering people is crucial. Yet you need to know that people will deliver ‘safely’ working within boundaries and taking the right amount of freedom. We look at delegating constructively and encouraging new ideas, commitment, and continuous improvement.
- Build an even more positive culture: Our staff are arguably our most important resource. Team dynamics change all the time and you have a huge influence on the workplace culture. The training will help you to shape a culture that makes work enjoyable and rewarding.
The group will meet via zoom on Wednesday between 5:00pm and 7:00pm.
