Welcome to the Deeptech Enterprise Challenge Day!

Use your Scientific Skills to Tackle Innovative Industry Challenges

Join us for an action-packed day (9 AM–8 PM) designed for DPhil students and early career researchers! Collaborate in teams to tackle challenges from industry leaders in biotech, quantum technologies and aerospace sectors. Start with a crash course on crafting a winning pitch deck, then dive into solving problems with guidance from industry mentors. Wrap up the day by pitching your solutions to a panel and audience for a chance to win one of four prizes—three chosen by the panel, and one by popular vote. Don’t miss this opportunity to innovate, network, and make an impact!

Work on deeptech enterprise challenges in three areas:

• biotech
• fusion energy
• quantum technologies

(Pick only one of the ticket types when registering to indicate you preference, but don't worry if we have sufficient capcity a small number of people might be allowed to switch between the challenge areas on the day)

The day will start with itnroduction to hackathon format and goals of the day, followed by challenge intros by the industry experts

Throughout the day there will be support available from industry mentors from Oxford University Innovation, Oxford Science Enterprises and Oxford Investment Opportunity Network.

The day will culminate with pitching competition, prizes and networking over pizza and beer.

No need to bring teams or ready ideas - you'll meet colleagues on the day (but make sure to spread the world about the event!)

Food and drinks will be provided throughout the day.
