Making Your Business More Deaf Friendly

Did you know that 1 in 6 people in the UK are affected by hearing loss and that number is growing? If your business isn’t confident in how to communicate inclusively, you could be missing out on valuable customers, team members, and connections.

Join us for this eye-opening and practical session with Suzi Sentance, founder of Oxford BSL.

Suzi first realised she had started to lose her hearing in 2014. She began to learn British Sign Language and has spent the past six years working as a Qualified Teacher of Deaf Children and Young People. Many times, Suzi has experienced frustration relating to her hearing loss when communicating with all kinds of people and knows she is not alone.

Suzi brings lived experience, professional insight, and a sense of humour to the challenges and opportunities of communicating with people who have hearing loss.

Whether you're a start-up looking to build accessible practices from day one, or an established business ready to improve customer experience, this session will equip you with simple, effective strategies to make every interaction count.
