Oxford Africa Conference 2026

Under the theme “Anchoring Africa: Grounded Leadership in the Age of Disruption,” the 2026 Oxford Africa Conference interrogates what leadership must look like in an era defined by rapid technological shifts, political uncertainty, and economic transformation. Organized by the Oxford University Africa Society (AfriSoc), we reflect on grounded, accountable and values-driven leadership capable of navigating disruption while delivering real outcomes.

Scheduled for the 16th & 17th May 2026, this highly anticipated event brings together thought leaders, policymakers, professionals and scholars at the University of Oxford for two days of ambitious conversation, critical exchange, and future-shaping ideas. It equips participants with actionable insights, meaningful relationships, and a clearer sense of how Africa’s leadership, institutions, and innovation ecosystems are evolving and where they are headed next. The conference will conclude with an optional Cultural Evening on Sunday, celebrating Africa’s diversity through culture, community, and creativity.
