Panacea Stars: Catalysing Success in Science - Since our inception in Oxford in 2015, Panacea has been pivotal in the formation of over 450 companies, propelling our top 60 to a combined valuation of approximately £1.5Bn. Our unique blend of R&D, commercialisation, business development, legal, regulatory and go-to-market support transforms promising ideas into viable, successful start-up companies. We’re committed to advancing science and health-related innovations, from early-stage ideas to ready-for-market products.
Action: CardioStars, LifeSci Stars & OncoStars - The four week Action programme is dedicated to helping clinicians and scientists understand the research translation ecosystem, think about how their ideas and discoveries could be commercialised, and plan their work with translational potential in mind.
Action is tailored towards those with little or no previous experience of research translation and whose work is not currently at a stage where there is clear commercial potential. We welcome any type of research from any stage of development, from behavioural science to pharmaceuticals, devices, or software.
We are currently recruiting for the CardioStars, OncoStars, and LifeSciStars programmes which will take place in June-July 2025. Participation is open to researchers of any professional background and career stage. There is no fee to take part and no equity commitment.
CardioStars is run in partnership with the British Heart Foundation, for those working to prevent, diagnose, or treat cardiovascular disease.
OncoStars is run in partnership with Cancer Research UK for those working to prevent, diagnose, or treat cancer.
LifeSci Stars is run in partnership with Bio-Rad Laboratories, for those focused on innovative products and technologies for life science research and clinical diagnostics.
