If your business is based in Cherwell District Council area, then you can register for this event. If you are outside of the district, then please register for other OxLEP events.

This is an in-person workshop for senior managers, owners and Directors of established small and medium sized businesses who want a boost to help them to thrive in 2025. Tickets are restricted so book soon.

By attending this introductory workshop you will…

• Applying the science of persuasion ethically, efficiently, and effectively

In this, you’ll learn how to solve your most urgent influence challenges using Dr. Robert Cialdini’s universal Principles of Persuasion.

Dr. Robert Cialdini,is know in behavioural science circles as ‘the Godfather of Influence’ and wrote the book “Influence – The Psychology of Persuasion”, selling over 10 million copies and consistently voted best business book of all time. Mark Brown is a founding member of the Cialdini Institute, co-creating training courses with Dr. Cialdini and the CEO of the Institute, Bas Wouters.

The key learning objectives of this session are:

• Gaining an understanding of how we really make decisions
• How the science and principles of ethical persuasion can help
• Hints and Tips you can apply immediately to any influence challenge you may have

There will be plenty of time for making new connections and sharing experience, and this will be a learning and doing session with collaborative discussions on tables.

This session will close with sign-posting to other fully funded support including expert 1:1 help with growing your business.

Mark Brown is a co-founder of Psybersafe, the online cyber awareness training programme. It uses what we know about people to help protect them and the places they work. It is being used by, amongst others, the largest bank in Belgium, as well as fund managers, tech start-ups, lawyers, charities. Even a sewing machine supplier!

Mark is also a founding member of the Cialdini institute and a Cialdini Certified Coach. With more than 25 years’ experience in designing new initiatives and a strong background in complex areas of financial services, risk management, technology initiatives, management and leadership development, Mark brings a unique skill set to help you master the principles of persuasion.
