Scroll-stopping success: how to master your social campaigns

This month we'll be hearing from Helen Baimbridge, a freelance digital marketing consultant. Helen lives just outside Thame, is actually a trained bra fitter, and loves nothing more than a mug of builders tea and a good Victoria sponge.

Most people who don't work in marketing think that running a social media campaign is just a case of pulling together a few posts and getting some pretty visuals done. But in reality it takes an impressive mix of time, research, and creativity to create a campaign that actually brings value to a business.

So in this month's meet-up we'll be looking at exactly what it takes to plan, deliver, and measure a successful social campaign.

We'll start by thinking about how (and when) to prepare for your campaign - covering things like setting clear goals, planning your budget, and identifying and understanding your audience.

Next we'll explore the campaign itself - how to shape your content, practical tips about the creative you put together, and platform-specific tips for how to manage the process.

Then finally we'll think about how to track and measure the work, looking at how to interpret your analytics and how you can best test and refine your messaging as you go.

And while Helen will be focusing on the Meta platforms - Facebook and Instagram - the ideas she shares will stand you in good stead for any social media campaigns.

Whether you’re looking to boost brand awareness, drive conversions, or grow community engagement, this talk will give you what you need to craft a campaign that will nail those goals.

How our gatherings usually go

🍻 6pm: Doors open for (free) drinks, marketing chit-chat, and - let's face it - probably at least some small talk about the weather

🧑‍🏫 6.15-7.15pm: A brilliant marketing talk from a knowledgeable and interesting human, plus some Q&A and informal group discussion

🤓 7.15-7.30pm: It’s GUS time (that’s Genuinely Useful Shit)

🍻 7.30-8pm: More (still free) drinks and fun chat, hopefully about more interesting stuff than the weather by this point

Here you’ll find everyone from marketing managers and comms execs to freelancers, solo business owners, and students exploring the industry. If you’re interested in marketing, you’re welcome around the campfire.
