Speaker #1 - Jonathan Waddingham
Chief Product Officer @ Lightful

https://www.linkedin.com/in/jonathanwaddingham/

Jonathan is a product leader with 20+ years of experience building digital products for social impact. Most recently, he was Chief Product Officer at Lightful, a certified B Corp, where he led product, design and engineering and shipped AI-powered features and learning products that helped charities grow digital capability and fundraising outcomes. He is a contributing author to the 2025 Wiley book AI for Nonprofits: Putting Artificial Intelligence to Work for Your Cause.

Previously, Jonathan spent 12 years at JustGiving, leading the build and growth of JustGiving Crowdfunding from MVP to UK category leader, helping raise over £100m for good causes within five years. He has also worked as an independent consultant, supporting tech-for-good startups and charities with product strategy, growth, and validating sustainable business models.

The talk: Culture eats AI for breakfast
AI tools are moving fast, but successful adoption is rarely a tooling problem. It is a people, values and behaviours problem. Drawing on real examples from mission-driven organisations, plus a few lessons from a kids’ football team, Jonathan shares practical ways to embed learning, trust and curiosity so AI becomes part of everyday work, not something bolted on. Expect an honest, practical and people-first session focused on responsible outcomes and real workflow change.
