Programme overview

Incubator Phase 1, delivered by Oxford University Innovation's Incubator team, is an intensive pre-accelerator for early-stage founders across the University: students at any level, early-career researchers, staff and alumni. At least one team member must be a current student or a current or former member of staff.

It's for founders who've found a problem worth solving and have a solution they're ready to test with customers.

You'll start with a five-day sprint of Lean Canvas workshops, expert mentoring and group work. Over the following month, you'll test your idea with prospective customers, then present to a panel for feedback. Strong teams are invited to apply for Phase 2, a year-long programme working towards incorporation and investment.

Complete the enquiry form, and the Incubator team will talk you through the next steps. Eligible teams are invited to interview throughout the year, and successful teams join the next available cohort.
